Arachne Digital’s First Hacktoberfest: Join Us in Open-Source Innovation!

We are thrilled to announce that Arachne Digital will be participating in Hacktoberfest for the first time this October! As a company dedicated to revolutionising cybersecurity through open-source innovation, we are excited to welcome contributors from around the globe to join us in enhancing our projects, Thread and Tracery.

Why Hacktoberfest?

Hacktoberfest, an annual event hosted by DigitalOcean and other sponsors, is a month-long celebration of open-source software. It is an opportunity for developers, enthusiasts, and contributors of all levels to collaborate on open-source projects, learn new skills, and make meaningful contributions. Participants who submit a certain number of pull requests can earn rewards like a Hacktoberfest t-shirt or have a tree planted in their name. For Arachne Digital, Hacktoberfest aligns perfectly with our mission to foster community-driven development and give back to the open-source community.

Get Involved with Arachne Digital Projects

We invite you to contribute to two of our open-source projects:

• Thread: An open-source tool that automates the process of linking cybersecurity reports and articles to MITRE ATT&CK®. Thread is designed to streamline cyber threat intelligence (CTI) mapping, making it faster and more accurate for security professionals.
• Tracery: A metasearch engine forked from searx, built to enhance OSINT (open-source intelligence) capabilities. Tracery aggregates search results from multiple sources, ensuring comprehensive data collection for CTI analysis.

How to Contribute

Whether you are a seasoned developer or just starting out, there is a place for you in our community. Here are some ways you can get involved:

• Code Contributions: Help us develop new features, fix bugs, or improve existing functionalities in Thread and Tracery.
